As a partner in the Write from the Start School Supply Drive we’re collecting new school supplies to help Vancouver Public School students in need start the school year ready to learn. Of the approximately 22,000 students in Vancouver Public Schools, over half qualify for subsidized meals, a federal indicator of poverty. For these students, new school supplies are a luxury.
The goal of the drive is to collect enough school supplies and monetary donations to prepare at least 12,000 students to start school with the materials needed to succeed. You can help!
1. Purchase school supplies. See the list of the most needed items in this post.
2. Bring the supplies to MAJ Development Corporation at 300 W 15th Street, STE 200, Vancouver WA 98660.

Each year, MAJ Commercial Real Estate and MAJ Development Corporation raise money to support local families for the holidays. Each family we “adopt” is personally recommended to us either by our co-workers, or family and friends.
With your help, we can provide a Merry Christmas to seven families in our community.
