Starbucks at 60th & Columbia – Portland, Oregon
The building’s design concept represents Starbucks’ new “green, thought-provoking and sustainable store” strategy. The previously doomed-for-the-dump shipping containers are re-purposed and reused as the building structure. The Washington state certified, stacked metal containers present an out-of-the-ordinary, modern architectural design while also incorporating Starbucks’ rustic, northwest vibe. The distinctive, eco-friendly store provides drive-thru or walk-up services.
